Hardangervidda National Park Centre at Skinnarbu is the state-authorised centre for Hardangervidda National Park. All the knowledge about the plateau is gathered here, and this is where the best experiences begin.
Skinnarbu in the heart of the national park
Hardangervidda National Park Centre at Skinnarbu is the only state-authorised centre for the national park. The centre opened in 2013 and is a starting point for experiences, knowledge and nature interpretation on the plateau.

Exhibitions
600 m² and 22 interactive installations take you through seven sections about the wild reindeer's biology, millennia-old migration routes and human life on the plateau. The exhibition has won three international awards.

Activities
Guided exhibition tours, insect courses, nature interpretation for schools and groups, and walks in the nature around Skinnarbu. There is something for everyone.

Nature interpretation
As a state-authorised visitor centre we have a special responsibility for nature interpretation. We offer nature interpretation for schools and groups — both at the centre and out in the field.
