The center is co-located with the Norwegian Wild Reindeer Center at Skinnarbu, and we can offer a strong professional and social environment. Job description summer temporary worker

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is service-minded, fluent in languages and outgoing. You should preferably have a science education/background, or be in such an education, but a tourism education/background is also nice. You should be proactive and self-driven, like a fast pace and enjoy giving of yourself. You must be comfortable as a "potato" and prepared that only parts of the working day "went as expected". Personal suitability will be emphasized. Key work tasks:

  • Contribute to the visitor center's daily operations with reception work, film screenings, VR experiences, café operations, cleaning, etc.
  • Customer service and guiding visitors to the center's exhibition, nature trail and insect course.

 

Qualifications

  • Higher education in biology, ecology, nature management, nature-based tourism, etc. Either completed studies, or be teaching in a similar educational program.

Personal characteristics

  • You must be flexible and outgoing
  • Have good academic, pedagogical and social skills
  • Good collaboration skills
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and spoken. Multiple languages are an advantage.
  • Creative, solution-oriented and goal-oriented
  • Thrives with responsibility.

Conditions

  • Hourly-based commitment in rotation equivalent to a 100% position.
  • Some weekend work must be expected.
